Italy: Rome bans snacks around key tourist sights
Rome's City Hall has banned eating and drinking on or around key tourist sights such as the Spanish Steps -- in a bid to cut down on litter in the historical centre and preserve the city's most famous monuments.

Today's tip: When touring a coastline, plan to travel in the direction that puts you and your passenger on the view side of the road. This way you can see down the coast, anticipate where the best turnoffs are, and avoid crossing traffic to access the beach or viewpoints.
